Saturday was a great day for any Leicester City fan for it was the day they beat title favourites Manchester City 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium, coming away with a well deserved three points.

The win leaves Leicester six points clear at the top of the Premier League table and in a convincing position to win the title.

Next week Leicester face Arsenal at the Emirates and the bookies are finally taking Ranieri’s side seriously by making them the new title favourites.

Leicester were ahead in the first couple of minutes after German defender Robert Huth met Riyad Mahrez's free-kick.

Three minutes into halftime the Foxes did it again, scoring in the first few minutes of both opening halves. This time it was Riyad Mahrez who dispatched an unstoppable shot past City goalkeeper Joe Hart, doubling his side’s score.

Huth went on to score a brace after Christian Fuchs sent a corner which Huth met from the left and his header looped past Joe Hart and into the net.

City managed to score just the once in the 88th minute when Sergio Aguero nodded home a Bersant Celina cross, but it was just far too late to have any kind of come back.

After the match, Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri explained he wants his players to carry on playing with the same belief they have had all season

Ranieri said: "We played very, very compact and believed everything could be possible.

"We play without pressure because we don't have to win the league. We must enjoy. This league is so strange and now it is important to think about Arsenal.

"I want to wait until the end of April because I know the last matches are very tough. This is a fantastic moment for the Premier League, nobody knows who can win it.

"I hope my players didn't feel pressure. We have to enjoy, with a lot of confidence match after match and step by step."
